In this presentation, current breast cancer screening guidelines will be summarized, which will include NCCN guidelines that are followed by the OSF Saint Francis multidisciplinary breast cancer team. Different breast imaging modalities including mammography, breast ultrasound, automated breast ultrasound scan (ABUS), and breast MRI will be discussed so that referring physicians and practitioners will understand what to order, when to order, and what exam results mean. The importance of imaging premenopausal women who are of average risk, high risk, and with clinical breast problems will be highlighted, with special focus during pregnancy and lactation.

- Provide an overview in breast imaging to clarify what exam to order and what the exam results mean for better patient care, with focus on premenopausal women.
- Discuss breast imaging during pregnancy and lactation, including benign disease and malignancy.

Dr. Jessica Guingrich is a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and is currently both the Medical Director of Breast Imaging as well as the Program Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship Program at the OSF Saint Francis Centers for Breast Health.
