OB/GYN resident Grand Rounds Presentation "Is She Septic, or is She Just Pregnant?" will discuss the pathophysiology of sepsis in pregnancy and to review the different screening tools available to assist in diagnosis. OBJECTIVES:
- Describe pathophysiology of sepsis in comparison to physiological maternal changes in pregnancy
- Discuss and compare the different sepsis screening tools in pregnancy
- Describe initial steps in treatment and resuscitation for sepsis in pregnancy
- Discuss recent findings and research in accurate and efficient diagnosis of sepsis in pregnancy
