OB/GYN resident Grand Rounds Presentation. This presentation will review the most up-to-date research on preventative care for ovarian cancer in the method of salpingectomies for patients who are at risk for developing this in their lifetimes, including discussion about how we can apply this to our patient populations, and what kind of interventions and advise we can utilize. Objectives:
- Review the pathology of ovarian cancer and new research associated with this type of cancer
- Discuss current recommendations for ovarian cancer and preventative care in the method of salpingectomies
- Describe what actions and advise we can provide for our future patients who are at risk for this malignancy
