"Surgical Site Infections and Tubo-Ovarian Abscess" will cover antibiotic management of different surgical site infections and Tubo-ovarian abscess. There will be an emphasis on how to choose antibiotics based on host factors, nature of infections, and drug efficacy and side effect profiles, including next approaches to take when infection fails to improve with treatment. OBJECTIVES:
1. Learn about the antibiotic management of Ob-Gyn related Surgical Site Infections and Tubo-Ovarian Abscess
2. Demonstrate an understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of common antibiotics used in female pelvic infections
3. Identify potential causes of antibiotic failure
