1. Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring patterns and uterine activity to assist in identification of the fetal well being
2. Correlate nursing and medical interventions to fetal heart rate monitoring patterns and uterine activity based on underlying maternal fetal physiology
3. Communicate fetal heart rate monitoring patterns and uterine activity using standardized terminology between members of the healthcare team
