- Purpose: To enable hospital staff to understand the role of ethics when caring for patients making an adoption plan for their newborn, and how to handle unique circumstances surrounding labor, delivery, and placement. Objectives: 1. Recognize how personal and societal values affect ethical decisions and patient care 2. Examine Code of Ethics key values that are par
