The celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the College of Medicine Rockford continues with the February Fun Committee event.  For this event, we are going to do a door and/or cubicle decorating contest for Valentine's Day.  Participants should incorporate a "50" theme. It could be 50 hearts, the number 50, etc.

The UICOMR Chapter of the Student National Medical Association will host a screening of "Black Men in White Coats," a documentary about how systemic barriers prevent Black men from being able to enter into the medical profession and how that affects society as a whole.

Guest Lecturer Dev Karan, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Pathology of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI, will present “Development of Novel Therapeutics in Targeting Prostate Cancer.”

All students, staff, residents, faculty and health care professionals are invited to participate in the UIC Health Sciences Campus-Rockford 27th Annual Research Day Call for Abstracts. All researchers will need to be available on Judging Night, Thursday, April 7, 2022, and on Research Day, Friday, April 8, 2022. For more info visit go.uic.edu/RockfordResearchDay.

Research Day highlights research conducted at the UIC Health Sciences Campus-Rockford, as well as affiliated and regional institutions. Literature reviews and program implementation projects without outcome data are not permitted.
