UIC Perinatal Center Courses and Conferences

This is an advanced course to assist the nurse eligible for certification by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) to prepare and sit for the Maternal Newborn or Inpatient Obstetrics Examination. Proof of NCC exam registration is required at start of class.

The Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course is a 1-day course that expands on the knowledge and principles that were presented in the Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course and covers more complex concepts. This course uses a case study approach focusing on the analysis of complicated FHM patterns and characteristics with related case information

Review course for the NCC EFM certification exam.

This One-day course provides the novice RN with the skills to assess and document fetal status and to be knowledgeable of the nursing interventions appropriate for the fetal status. Documentation issues and methods of antepartum testing will be included.
