Illinois Soul and Krannert Center for the Performing Arts are collaborating to bring you Turn. Turning. TURNT, a powerful triptych from award-winning Dance at Illinois professor, choreographer and director Dr. Cynthia Oliver.
Across three interconnected works—Tether, Fallow, and Summon. Sow. Reap—Oliver explores Black creativity, resilience, memory and collective power. From the AfroFuturist energy of Double Dutch to reflections on uncertainty, labor and renewal, Turn. Turning. TURNT is movement with meaning.
