Physics - Saturday Physics for Everyone

This talk will discuss the most common computational physics simulation application in the world...video games. Games rely on simulating physics to generate effects like animation and collisions. Even the image you see on the screen is the result of simulating the physical transport of light. We will discuss how game physics works...and how it sometimes doesn't. This talk is for a general audience. There will be some math, but also some pretty pictures.

Saturday Physics for Everyone is an event series focused on sharing the research of the Department of Physics with the UIUC community. High school students interested in STEM are highly encouraged to attend.
