Presenters: Alex Quintanilla, and Michelle LeMay
Description
A presentation on acceptance and connecting to our body to listen to what our bodies need without judgement and resources on campus. In connection with the No Body Shaming week on campus.
About the Speakers
Alex Quintanilla is a licensed clinical social worker. He is from El Salvador and immigrated to Los Angeles. He is a transfer student, received his bachelors and Master from UC Berkeley. Alex focused his career helping and working with low resourced families in San Francisco. He now works for the Counseling Center here at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Michelle LeMay (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist. She is from Northern Nevada, received her bachelor's from the University of Nevada, Reno, her PhD from Idaho State University, and completed her Post-Doc at Penn State University. Michelle’s career has focused on neurodiversity, eating disorders, and cultural humility. She has been with the Counseling Center here at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. for the past 5 years.
