Kenton Lee, MD, is retiring from the University of Illinois College of Medicine after 30 years as a faculty member. Dr. Lee is an assistant professor of clinical family medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine who has been an integral part of the UICOMR Family Medicine Residency Program since he himself was a resident physician in the program.
Dr. Lee has served as chair of the residency program’s Curriculum Development Committee and oversaw pediatric rotations for the residents while also providing full-scope family medicine to patients at what is now the Mile Square Health Center-L.P. Johnson Rockford and hospitalist care at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital. He has also served as medical director for UICOMR’s Correctional Health Care Services, providing services and leadership for the medical care at the Winnebago County Jail and Juvenile Detention Center.
