Case presentations are utilized to illustrate both the continued utility of a thorough physical examination in managing the diagnostic work-up of patients and the diagnostic problems that can result from not detecting physical findings. There is interaction between the presenters as well as the audience on how they would have proceeded with their care, the problems with the care received, and present any new methods that could have changed the outcome of the case. In the medical field, you have to stay current on the methods of treating and also changing protocols to better serve the patients. These issues are also discussed.
