UIC Perinatal Center Courses and Conferences

Virtual Class Course Objective: Be able to understand and describe fundamentals of newborn assessment and care as it relates to a comprehensive review of body systems and conditions affecting the newborn. Fee: No Charge (Limited Class Size) Target Audience Registered nurses working OB, PP/MB, NB Nursery, Level I, Level II, and Level II-e Nursery (not NICU RNs) with clinical perinatal experience/tenure of 2 weeks. RN must work in the IL Perinatal Network. 

University of Chicago Medicine is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for Awarding Contact Hours: Participants who successfully complete the entire activity and complete an evaluation form will earn 7.75 contact hours.
