Purpose:
Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE) is a life-threatening event. Those working in the perinatal specialty need an increased awareness of identifying, treating, and managing patients with an AFE.
Objectives:
- Describe clinical presentation and diagnosis of AFE
- Describe the immediate management of AFE
- Discuss post-AFE care
