A world renowned educator on grief and palliative care, Justin Baker, MD, Chief of Quality of Life and Palliative Care at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, will present a free lecture on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 6:30 pm, at Jump Simulation Auditorium B, 1306 N. Berkeley Ave., Peoria.
Specifically, Dr. Baker will look at how grief affects children in different ways based on their developmental level. He will also discuss a novel, innovative program that allows bereaved parent volunteers who are specially trained to provide support and education to other families dealing with grief.

The Robert D. Hart, MD Endowed Lectureship was established in 2002 to honor the late Dr. Hart for his distinguished medical career as a pediatrician. Income from this fund enables prominent scholars to enhance training and education of medical students, residents, practicing physicians, and the community.
