PURPOSE: The activities will broaden knowledge base for clinicians to apply with their neonatal patients. The goal of the Neonatology Seminar is to provide faculty with educational programs to address knowledge gaps in current practices and advancements in research for neonatal patients.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Neonatologists, neonatal-perinatal medicine fellows, pediatricians, pediatric residents, neonatal nurses, neonatal therapists, pediatric subspecialists, and other neonatal providers.
After completion of the activity, participants should be able to:
- Examine gaps between current practices in patient care and emerging improvements in practices relevant to neonatology
- Explain the use of new therapies, treatments, and techniques in medicine and surgery
- Identify what best practice and alternate clinical systems of care that can be applied to improve patient outcomes
- Describe research methodologies frequently used in research focused on pediatric and neonatal topics
