This course addresses fetal heart monitoring principles and may be used as a knowledge assessment tool to validate the comprehension of experienced perinatal clinicians. This course includes lectures and hands-on skill stations, including performing Leopold maneuvers, placement of an IUPC and FSE, interpretation of fetal monitoring tracings using a case-based approach, identification of physiologically based clinical interventions, and communication and risk management principles.
Course Format: Successful online prerequisite education completion is required before attending the one-day in-person portion of the course.

- in-person is eight hours and includes time for lunch and breaks.
11.25 total nursing contact hours/ 11.25 CME credit will be awarded after successfully completing the online knowledge validation test and evaluation after the in-person course and is required to receive nursing contact hours/CME credit for the course.
